2. Information we may collect

The personal information we collect depends on how you interact with Live Life Lightly and may include:

  • your name and email address;

  • your address, telephone number or other contact details where required;

  • information you provide when you contact us, complete a form, book a session or make a purchase;

  • details of products, courses or services you have purchased;

  • appointment and booking information;

  • information you choose to provide in connection with Soul Realignment, Soul Wisdom, Light Language, Crystalline Soul Healing® or another service;

  • correspondence between you and Live Life Lightly;

  • recordings created as part of a service where applicable;

  • information about how you interact with our emails;

  • technical information associated with your use of our website, such as your IP address, device information and information collected through cookies or similar technologies.

We only ask for information that is reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it is being collected.

3. How and why we use your information

We may process your personal information for the following purposes.

Enquiries and communication

If you contact us, we use the information you provide to respond to you and to keep an appropriate record of our correspondence.

Our legal basis will normally be our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and managing our business, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Purchases and course access

When you purchase a course, digital product, reading, session or other service, we use your information to:

  • process and administer your purchase;

  • provide access to the product or service;

  • communicate with you about your purchase;

  • arrange appointments where necessary;

  • deliver course and service-related emails;

  • maintain appropriate business and financial records.

The principal legal bases for this processing are performance of our contract with you and compliance with our legal obligations.

Working with you

If you book Soul Realignment, Soul Wisdom, Light Language, Crystalline Soul Healing® or another 1:1 service, we may collect information that is necessary to prepare for and provide your service.

You decide what personal information you share with us. Please do not provide sensitive personal information that is unrelated to the service you have requested.

Because of the nature of some Live Life Lightly services, information you voluntarily provide may occasionally include information regarded as special category personal data under data protection law, including information relating to health or religious or philosophical beliefs.

Where we need to process special category personal data that you have chosen to provide, we will do so only where an appropriate legal basis and condition for processing applies, which may include your explicit consent.

We keep the information collected for 1:1 work limited to what is reasonably necessary to provide the service and maintain appropriate records.

Recordings

Some Live Life Lightly services may include an audio or video recording for you.

Where a recording is part of the service you have purchased, it will be used for the purpose of providing that service and delivering the recording to you. Recordings will not be used publicly or for marketing without your separate permission.

Payments and accounting

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers such as Stripe or PayPal.

We do not need to receive or store your full payment-card details when payment is handled directly by a payment provider. We may receive information confirming your payment and transaction details.

Certain transaction and accounting records are retained where necessary to comply with our legal and financial obligations.

4. Email marketing

If you choose to join the Live Life Lightly email list, download a free resource where marketing consent is requested, or otherwise give permission to receive marketing emails, we may send you emails about Live Life Lightly, including ideas, resources, videos, courses, services and offers that may interest you.

Where required, we rely on your consent to send these emails. In limited circumstances, we may contact existing customers about our own similar products or services where this is permitted by applicable law.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in our emails or by contacting us at lucy@lucymccormack.com.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending emails that are necessary to provide something you have requested or purchased, such as purchase confirmations, course access information, appointment information or service-related communications.

5. Cookies and website information

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to make the website function, remember choices, understand how the website is being used and, where applicable, measure advertising or marketing activity.

Cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of the website may be used without consent where permitted by law.

Where consent is required for analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies or tracking technologies, these will only be used after you have been given the opportunity to make your cookie choices.

You can change or withdraw your cookie choices through the cookie controls available on the website.

6. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information.

We may use trusted third-party service providers to help us operate Live Life Lightly and deliver our products and services. Depending on the services you use, these may include providers involved in:

  • website, course and email hosting, including Systeme.io;

  • payment processing, including Stripe and PayPal;

  • online appointments and video calls, including Zoom;

  • email delivery;

  • website analytics and advertising;

  • cloud storage and other business administration services.

These providers may process personal information on our behalf or, in some circumstances, act as independent data controllers for the services they provide.

We may also disclose information where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

We will not share information you provide during 1:1 work with another practitioner or service provider for a referral without your permission, unless disclosure is required by law.

7. International transfers

Some of the technology and service providers used by Live Life Lightly may process or store personal information outside Ireland or the European Economic Area.

Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards required by applicable data protection law are in place.

8. How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for any legal, accounting or legitimate business requirements that apply.

Different types of information may therefore be kept for different periods.

For example, company accounting records are retained for the period required under Irish law. Information used solely for marketing will normally be retained until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent, subject to retaining limited information where necessary to record and respect that request.

Information connected with 1:1 client work will be reviewed and deleted when it is no longer reasonably required, taking account of the nature of the service, our legitimate record-keeping needs and any applicable legal requirements.

9. Keeping your information secure

We take reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

Where practical, particularly sensitive information is kept separate from ordinary business and contact information and access is limited to those who need it.

No internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information entrusted to us.

10. Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;

  • have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected;

  • request deletion of your personal information;

  • request restriction of the way your information is used;

  • object to certain processing, including direct marketing;

  • receive certain information in a portable format;

  • withdraw your consent where processing is based on consent.

These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions provided by data protection law.

If you would like to exercise any of these rights, contact lucy@lucymccormack.com.

We will normally respond to a valid request within one month, as required by applicable data protection law.

11. Complaints

If you have a concern about how your personal information has been handled, please contact us first so that we have the opportunity to address it.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission in Ireland, which is the Irish supervisory authority for data protection.

Information about making a complaint is available at www.dataprotection.ie.

12. Changes to this Privacy Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice when our services, technology or legal obligations change.

The current version will always be available on the Live Life Lightly website, and the date at the top of this notice will show when it was last updated.
