Start with your soul in mind...
What would happen if before you made any major decisions you first thought about who you are?
The situations in my life that give me the most trouble are the ones where I come away feeling like I have not been genuine or connected to my true self. If I go to an event and end up not expressing myself the way I want to, I always come away feeling terrible. It took me years to work this out and to realise what was happening. Even if I was spending time with my mother and did not feel I could say what I was thinking, I felt worse not better for the day. Yes, I could rationalise it easily, and still do sometimes. I do not want to upset her and usually if I do, dealing with the fallout as she gets upset is more tiring than biting my tongue.
So where do we draw the line? Should we be true to ourselves or keep the peace? For me, it depends on the situation and every situation is different. It is worth bearing in mind though that the more choices you make that are not in alignment with your divine soul blueprint, who you really are on a soul level, the more and more of these choices you may make.
I got to a point in my life, years ago where I had completely forgotten who I was. Now I start each day choosing the emotions I want to have and choosing who I want to be in any major things that are going on. It only takes a couple of minutes...ask yourself:
Who am I going to meet today (even if it is online!) and who do I want to be when I meet them?
We have spent so many weeks here (in Ireland) in lockdown that I was getting really grumpy. I found that when I went for a walk I was judging the people around me...who did not smile, who did not say thanks when I moved over. It was making my exercise more and more unpleasant. Luckily I recognised what was happening and with the help of my coach, connected back to who I am and what I want to bring to life. Now when I am out I focus on sending light and love to all the people that I see, regardless of what they are doing. I keep in mind both who I am (love, light and laughter are always top of my list!) and how low their energy must be for them to not be able to smile at a happy stranger!
So start with your soul in mind, who are you and what qualities to you want to bring to your life and the lives of the people around you?
