Flowing with Love
Love isn’t only for the moments that shine. It’s also for the times we feel uncertain, reactive, or caught in old thought patterns. Those shadow moments, the ones we often try to push away are actually where love does its most beautiful work.
Recently, I was chatting with some of my closest friends about how naturally we care for others. We offer comfort, encouragement, and kindness so easily. But when it comes to ourselves, it’s often another story. We hold ourselves to impossible standards. We judge our reactions instead of soothing them. And yet, what if our shadows are simply asking for the same gentleness we give to everyone else?
The Shadow as a Teacher
To me, the shadow isn’t something dark or shameful. It’s old energy, outdated thoughts, fears, or reactions that surface when life stretches us. Sometimes it shows up as comparison, frustration, or impatience. Sometimes it’s a pattern we thought we’d outgrown, rising again so we can meet it with more love than before.
My guides, the Circle of Light have been reminding me of this in our channelling lately. They said:
“You are loved. Keep following the energy, it will all be exactly as it should. We are here to bring you peace in your striving. Striving is not necessary, just follow the flow. When you are floating down the river of life, just let it take you where it will. No paddling upstream, just enjoy the journey. Keep your eyes open for the delights of life. You can drift to the bank to play anytime you see something that sparks your interest. Enjoy every moment.”
Their words always soften something inside me. I can feel them when I write with them, that gentle reassurance that love is already guiding me, even when I’m unsure.
When we stop trying to control the current and let ourselves float, we start to see the beauty in what we once resisted. The shadow simply shows where we’ve been paddling too hard, forgetting that love will always carry us if we let it.
We Don’t Need to Chase the Shadows
I’m not a fan of chasing the shadows or feeling a great need to understand them fully. In my experience, we don’t need to analyse every corner of what feels uncomfortable. Instead, we just need to notice when we’ve slipped from our full radiance and gently ask what we need right now to return there.
It’s about awareness, not excavation. About compassion, not correction.
We can acknowledge when we’re feeling sad, tired, or not radiant, and still treat ourselves with care. Love meets us there too. We don’t need to dwell in past mistakes or unhappy moments; we only need to come back to presence, to the light that’s still shining within us.
Love Brings Light to the Hidden Places
The Circle of Light continued:
“You are love in motion. As you go through your day, you spark love in others, the ones that need it. No need to do anything but focus on yourself and the general love for others. See it as a real thing. See it as beautiful and boundless.”
I love that — love in motion. It changes how I see everything. Even when I’m triggered, even when old thoughts arise, I’m still love moving through experience. My job isn’t to hide the shadow but to bring love into it.
That’s also what Soul Realignment offers. It gently shines a light on the patterns we can’t always see clearly, those recurring thoughts or reactions that keep us looping. Through this work, we see ourselves through the eyes of the soul, not through judgment. We begin to understand the reasons behind our reactions, release the energetic blocks, and return to our natural state of balance.
When you know who you are at soul level, you can finally relax into it. The striving falls away. Even the shadow becomes sacred.
Caring for Yourself as Deeply as You Care for Others
Imagine if you offered yourself the same tenderness you show your dearest friends and loved ones the same patience, the same belief in your goodness. That’s how love transforms the shadow.
Next time an old thought or challenge arises, instead of pushing it away, pause and ask: What if this part of me just wants to be loved?
You might find that the very thing you resisted holds a gift, a deeper truth, a new layer of freedom, or simply the chance to rest in compassion.
If you’re ready to understand your patterns with kindness and see your light in full, a Soul Realignment session can help you do exactly that. It’s not about fixing yourself; it’s about remembering who you already are, love in motion, love embodied, if you will, flowing effortlessly downstream.
Reflection
Where in your life can you offer yourself the same care you so naturally give to others?
Pause, breathe, and let love meet you there.
