Why Am I Always Tired? A Spiritual Reason No One Talks About
There are moments when energy seems to disappear without warning. One minute you are moving along just fine, and the next you feel tired, tight, or heavy. It is easy to assume this means you need to push harder, focus more, or just get through what you are doing.
What I have noticed again and again, in my own life, is something different.
Often, energy drops not because we are doing too little, but because we are pushing or fighting against where and who we are.
When Tiredness Is a Signal
For me, resistance shows up as tightness, particularly around my eyes. It happens when I start pushing myself to keep going, especially when I am already feeling tired. My mind usually jumps in with a story, telling me that if I stop now it will be hard to start again, or that I will forget what I was doing.
A recent example is creating a whole series of YouTube videos. I was filming, editing, uploading, and then sharing them across YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. I enjoy creating, but after a while the process started to feel impossible. Not because I do not love the work, but because I was pushing myself to keep going when my energy was asking for a pause.
The belief underneath it was simple. If I stopped, I would lose momentum and forget what I was doing!
Instead of pushing through, I made a quick note about where I was up to and stopped. I sat down with no plan, no agenda, and no idea what I would do next. And in that space, this blog arrived. Writing this is fun!. My energy returned. Creativity felt light again.
That was the reminder.
Energy did not disappear because I stopped. It returned because I stopped fighting the moment I was in and making myself do something I did not want to in that moment. And now all the text for an email to my list has just arrived in my head! I had not thought of writing an email but now I am!
If you are not on my list, sign up to get your FRED Scale for free and you will also get my emails. They are mostly weekly, not too long, often have offers and discounts and are full of great energy!
How Resistance Drains Energy
Resistance does not always look dramatic. Sometimes it is very subtle. It is the quiet pressure to do more when your body is already tired. It is the inner argument that says you should keep going even though something feels off.
When we push like this, energy drains quickly. Life starts to feel harder than it needs to be. Tasks feel heavy and difficult. Creativity dries up. Even things we normally enjoy lose their spark.
When we stop pushing, energy has room to come back.
This does not mean giving up or avoiding responsibility. It means listening. It means recognising that tiredness can be information, not a problem.
Where FRED Comes In
This is where my FRED scale, Feeling Radiant Every Day, supports me.
FRED is not about fixing anything or judging yourself. It is a simple check in. Where is my energy right now?
When I notice my energy is low, that is my cue to pause. From there, I can gently reflect on what might be draining it. Very often, it is resistance. I am pushing past tiredness or arguing with how things are.
Once I notice that, I can choose to do something small to lift my energy. I might move my body, bounce in my chair, wave my arms, or make myself laugh. Those small shifts are often enough to change everything.
Clarity comes back. Flow returns. Life feels lighter again.
Creativity Thrives on Fun
One of the clearest signs that I am aligned again is that creativity feels fun.
I love to write. I love to create. I love to connect with the people who read my words or watch my videos or that I work with on zoom. When I am pushing, all of that feels like effort. When I stop fighting the moment, it feels enjoyable again.
The videos I share on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook are created from fun and flow. They are not forced. They come from listening to my energy and allowing creativity to move when it is ready.

A Brief Note on Light Language
Light Language supports this process for me as well. It helps my energy settle and realign without needing to think my way through anything. Sometimes just listening is enough to release the push and return to flow.
An Empowering Invitation
If you notice yourself suddenly feeling tired or heavy, pause before you push yourself further. There is a good chance you are resisting something rather than running out of energy.
This is a beautiful moment to check in with FRED. Notice where your energy is. From there, allow yourself to choose differently.
If you feel called, you can download FRED and the accompanying information, which includes the scale along with practical tips and gentle support to help you shift your energy when it drops.
You do not need to force momentum. When you stop fighting the moment, energy finds its way back to you.
Gentle Reflection
When tiredness appears, what might you be pushing against right now. And what changes when you allow yourself to stop and choose again?
