Trusting Spiritual Guidance and Following the Joy
I have been having so much fun recently! Just over a week ago, I had an inspiration that everything I have learnt, experienced and shared over the years could come together into something more cohesive. I could bring all my knowings together in a way that felt grounded and made sense of everything I have discovered along the way.
I got really excited, sat down and started writing out everything I could think of. A couple of hours later, I had organised it into what is becoming the Path of Radiance. I had no idea when I started that this was what would emerge, but it felt so good in my body that I just kept going. Even the name was obvious, which I will admit felt weird!
Following the excitement
Since then, all sorts of things have been happening. I have found myself making oracle cards, recording Light Language activations and even planning a book in my head! The funny thing is that these ideas have crossed my mind before. I love writing and creating my channelled artwork, and I have often thought about making oracle cards or writing a book, but I always wondered what on earth I would put in them. I had felt I had nothing to hold them all together...
Now I seem to have plenty to say, and I am thoroughly enjoying myself! I dip in and out of creating things whenever I feel inspired, and each time I do, something else seems to come along. I have no idea where it will all end up, but I am loving bringing together everything I have learnt and experienced over the years. It really does feel like my life's work is coming together, and I am having so much fun with it!
Recognising spiritual guidance
This is the spiritual part of my Trust series, and it has got me thinking about how we recognise and trust the guidance we receive. For me, spiritual guidance often feels like excitement, joy and being completely absorbed in what I am doing. I can spend hours creating something and barely notice the time passing.
Of course, I experience guidance in other ways too. When I sit down to channel or bring through Light Language, it can be much more specific. I also feel my guides around me through little taps or tickles on my head and body, which always makes me smile. But much of the time, I am simply following what feels exciting and having fun with whatever I am doing.
I think we can end up making spiritual guidance seem much more complicated than it needs to be, especially if we think we are "spiritual". We might expect a message, a sign or some extraordinary experience, while overlooking the times when we are completely absorbed in something we love doing. It can even become a task to do...I love lists! For me, those are the moments when I feel particularly connected to Source and my own inner wisdom. I am enjoying what I am doing, ideas are flowing and I am happy to see where they take me.
The Path of Radiance
What has been emerging from all this inspiration is something I am calling the Path of Radiance. It is an evolving path of self-discovery, awareness and conscious living, grounded in the understanding that we are already whole, wise and radiant.
I have brought it together into five stages: Remember → Know → Choose → Embody → Live. And then there is Return ↻, because life is rarely a straight line! We can revisit any part of the Path, reconnect with ourselves and make another choice whenever we want to.
What I am having particular fun is that I am experiencing these principles as I create it. I am recognising what excites me, trusting what feels right, making choices and bringing my ideas into something I can actually share. I don't have a grand plan for where the Path will lead, and I am quite happy allowing it to develop as more inspiration comes through. I am also trying things and finding I don't like them at all. I had this plan for a workbook, set out things I was going to do all this week and then completely forgot to do it...no inspiration at all!
Trusting your own connection
I think we can overlook just how connected we are to our own wisdom in everyday life. I know that when I am doing something I love, I can get completely absorbed in it and hours can pass without me noticing. I feel happy, excited and full of ideas, and for me, that is being connected to Source and going with the flow. It is actualy how I feel writing this as I got up this morning with a plan to write a blog, no idea what to say, sat down to write and here we are! Also way more time has passed than I thought now that I look at the clock...so I must be inspired!!!
There may be something you have wanted to explore for ages but dismissed because you couldn't see what you would do with it. I certainly never imagined I would suddenly have so many ideas for cards and books and maybe even a workbook if I find a way not to be bored with it! Yet here I am, having a wonderful time creating things I had previously thought I had nothing to put into.
I think this is another part of spiritual trust. We can follow what excites us without knowing where it will lead and see what comes next. I have no idea what my Path of Radiance will eventually become, but I am having so much fun creating it that I am happy to keep following the inspiration.
